Term 1 involved the completion of 3 modules:
MNHP211 – Film and Supportive Materials
- Resulted in the assignment with a group of 4 / 5 people. Learning teamwork and communication skills, we had to work as a team and put our ideas together to create a 5 minute natural history film.

MNHP212 – Portfolio and Captions
- We were assigned with creating an 8 – 10 image portfolio, along with titles and a 50 word caption for each image.

MNHP213 – Magazine and Presentation
- We were tasked with reaching out to the local charities / organisations that are acting positively towards helping the community through natural history means.
- We had to create a magazine, replicating the style of an already existing British magazine, and reporting a story of local efforts to restore the natural world.
- For the presentation we were put into pairs and had to research conservation efforts / natural history issues from a country that wasn’t in the EU. We had to follow the strict rules of the Pecha-Kucha Presentation method: every slide has to be an image, and will automatically move on after 20 seconds of showing, 20 slides in total – making the total presentation time 6 mins 20 secs .
